ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION
Refer the item to the Finance and Citywide Projects Committee Meeting.
BACKGROUND
On June 5, 2013, the Mayor and Commission directed the Administration to conduct a
parking supply and demand analysis, as a result of the discussion held during Agenda
Item No. R5D, "Alton Road Parking District No. 6. Walker Parking conducted a parking
supply and demand analysis in 2004 with annual projections through 2013.
The Administration provided Walker Parking with a scope of services, geographic
boundaries for study areas (phased), and deliverables. Walker Parking has submitted a
proposal and the Administration is seeking direction from the Finance and Citywide
Projects Committee regarding cost benefit; competitive bidding (waiver required for an
award to Walker to update the report); and proposed cost.
CONCLUSION
The Administration recommends that the Mayor and the City Commission refer the
matter to the Finance and Citywide Projects Committee meeting for discussion and
