waive the $650 building rental fee at the Colony Theater, June 25th , for the Miami-Dade

Dear Commissioner Steinberg,
sAVE is hosting the Miami-Dade Premier of the documentary, Just Gender. The
film explores the common myths and misunderstandings about transgendered
people. The documentary also touches on the discrimination, hardships and
brutality resulting from those misconceptions and prejudices, including the
numerous deaths caused by hate each year"
I am writing this letter to request that the city of Miami Beach waive the building
rental fees at the Colony Theater for the premier of Just Gender. ln exchange for
the rental fee waiver the city will be considered a sponsor of the event, which
include logo inclusion on all marketing and press releases. sAVE requests the
City assist in promoting the film through the City's marketing channels.
sAVE feels that this educational film will help educate the masses and create
safer spaces for people who are transgender.
We are hoping to premier the film on Wed, June 25th at 6:30 p.M. and hope that
the City of Miami Beach will lend the location and its name.
