Chapter 2, Article Vll, Division 3 of the City Code of Miami Beach entitled "Lobbyists" requires the
registration of all lobbyists with the City Clerk priorto engaging in any lobbying activitywith the City
Commission, any City Board or Committee, or any personnel as defined in the subject Gode
sections. Copies of the City Code sections on lobbyists laws are available in the City Clerk's office.
Questions regarding the provisions of the Ordinance should be directed to the Office of the City
Attorney.

I originolly referred o discussion item to the Finonce & Citywide Proiects Committee
concerning this motter ot the Februory 11,2015 City Commission meeting (Commission
Item C4Q). On Morch 2, 2015, the Finonce & Citywide Proiects Committee discussed
this motter ond recommended ogoinst issuing o solicitotion due to issues concerning
identity thefit, skimming, tronsoction fees, etc. However, since thot meeting, certoin
members of the ATM industry hove come forword with solutions thot potentiolly oddress
the concerns roised. Accordingly, I om osking thot the City Commission re-refer this
motter to the Finonce & Citywide Proiects Committee to offord members of the ATM
industry to moke o presentotion ond onswer questions.
