LTC 372-2025 Homeless Point In Time Census Results - August 2025372-2025 MIAMI BEACH OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER LTC# TO: FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: LETTER TO COMMISSION Honorable Mayor Steven Meiner and Members of the City Commission Eric Carpenter, City Manager ~ (J,,,,~ September 9, 2025 Homeless Point In Time Census Results -August 2025 The purpose of this L TC is to transmit the Miami-Dade County Homeless Trust's (Homeless Trust) results for the Point in Time (PIT) Census conducted on August 21-22, 2025, as noted in L TC #341-2025, dated August 20, 2025. Managed by the Homeless Trust, the Homeless Outreach Services Division, a division within the Department of Housing and Community Services, Miami Beach Police Department Homeless Resource Officers, and volunteers participated in the August PIT Census. According to the results by the Homeless Trust (see below), the City's unsheltered homeless population is 122. According to the latest PIT results, the City of Miami Beach has seen an 8% decrease in unsheltered homelessness since the comparable census conducted in August 2024, when the unsheltered population was recorded at 132 individuals. We remain committed to our collaborative efforts with City departments and community partners. Despite ongoing challenges, we continue to advance our mission of providing compassionate support to those in need through strategic engagement, comprehensive services, and responsible enforcement.
