RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACKNOWLEDGING THE AGREEMENT WITH THE
SISTER CITIES COMMITTEE FOR THE INSTALLATION, STOCKING,
ARRANGEMENT, AND MAINTENANCE OF A DISPLAY CASE FOR GIFTS
FROM SISTER CITY DIGNITARIES ON THE FIRST FLOOR OF CITY HALL.
WHEREAS, the Sister Cities Committee ("Committee") of the City of Miami Beach
promotes international goodwill and cultural exchange through partnerships with communities
around the world; and
WHEREAS, as part of its ongoing efforts, the Committee receives gifts from visiting
dignitaries of various sister cities, which are well-suited for public display in City Hall; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has agreed to procure, install, and assume full financial
responsibility for a modest, secure display case to house these gifts; and
WHEREAS, in consultation with the City's Facilities Department and the sponsor of this
Resolution, the Committee has identified a suitable location for the display along the interior wall
on the first floor of City Hall, between the internal elevator and the cashier window; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has also agreed to stock, arrange, and clean the display case
on a monthly basis; and
WHEREAS, this collaborative initiative will enhance the visibility of the City's international
partnerships and foster civic pride in Miami Beach's global connections.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City
Commission hereby acknowledge the agreement with the Sister Cities Committee for the
installation, stocking, arrangement, and maintenance of a display case for gifts from sister city
dignitaries on the first floor of City Hall.
