This Letter to the Comm ission (L TC)provides an update on a motion passed at the September
9,2025 meeting of the North Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (North Beach CRA)
Advisory Com m ittee (Committee).

Motion 1:Engagement of a consultant to analyze the workforce housing component of
the Byron Carlyle Cultural Center
The Committee recommends the City Commission reconsider its motion
recomm ending that the North Beach CRA allocate up to $190,000 from workforce
housing funds to engage a consultant to analyze the workforce housing component
of the Byron Carlyle Cultural Center,with the goal to better understand how to
maximize the value of the City's contribution to the project.The Committee
specifically recom m ends eliminating the estimated $30,000 cost for public
outreach and requiring a preliminary report within 90 days of engagement and a
final report within 180 days.
