ORDINANCE AMENDMENT REQUIRING AN APPLICANT FOR ZONING
AMENDMENTS TO BE IN GOOD STANDING BY ADDING A DEFINITION
FOR "HABITUAL OFFENDER"AND TO ESTABLISH PROCEDURES TO
ADDRESS OUTSTANDING VIOLATIONS,FINES,FEES,OR OTHER
OPEN BILLS,FOR APPLICATIONS TO AMEND THE LAND
DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OR THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
Miami Beach United SUPPORTS this ordinance because it deters
non-compliance by preventing habitual offenders from receiving
advantageous zoning approvals unless violations and delinquent fees or
fines are resolved.This ordinance would apply to private applicants and
commission sponsored ordinances done on behalf of a private applicant.

ORDINANCE AMENDMENT ENHANCING THE SIGNAGE
REQUIREMENTS APPLICABLE TO OWNERS AND OPERATORS OF
PRIVATE PARKING LOTS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FOR PAID MOTOR
VEHICLE PARKING TO MORE PROMINANTLY SHOW THAT LOT IS
PRIVATE AND NOT MUNICIPAL.
Miami Beach United SUPPORTS this additional action to require further
signage on private parking lots to clarify that they are not municipal
facilities.

A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE MOTION OF THE AUDIT
COMMITTEE,RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY PROVIDE ENHANCED
ETHICS TRAINING FOR THE CITY'S REGULATORY EMPLOYEES AND
ALLOCATE FUNDING IN THE BUDGET FOR SUCH TRAINING IF
NECESSARY.
One of Miami Beach United's priorities is to ensure good government by
promoting transparency and ethical conduct by elected officials and City
staff Thus,we are in full SUPPORT of this resolution that the City provide
enhanced ethics training for the City's regulatory employees.
