Chapter 2, Article Vl!, Division 3 of the City Code of Miami Beach entitled "Lobbyists" requires the
registration of all lobbyists with the City Clerk prior to engaging in any lobbying activity with the City
Commission, any City Board or Committee, or any personnel as defined in the subject Code
sections. Copies of the City Code sections on lobbyists laws are available in the City Clerk's office.
Questions regarding the provisions of the Ordinance should be directed to the Office of the Gity

displacement and relocation of the more than 100 residents at 800 Washington Avenue (The
Blackstone). What is being done by the City of Miami Beach to help relocate the residents
impacted by this eviction?

Upon ils expiration, it is our understanding that. if Congress makes funds available,
which it has in the pa$t and is expected to in the future, the Department of Housing and
Urban Development willprovide all eligible tenants cunently residing in a Seclion I
assisted unit, wfth tenant-based assistance. Unlike the cunent Seetion I contract,
$ecfiott I vouchers are issued to the tenants and allows them to choose the place they
wish to rent- Ihe Section 8 voucher is administrated by local Public Housing Authorities.
Federal law allows you lo elect to continuo living at this property (provided that the unit,
the rent and the owners meet the reguirements of the Section B tenant-based assistance
program), As Onrners. we willhonor your right as a tenant tc remain at the prsperty on
this basis as long as it continues to be offered as rental housing. provided PHA
continues to find the rent reasonable, and provided that there is no cause lor eviction
under federal, state or locallaw.
