Chapter 2, Article Vll, Division 3 of the City Code of Miami Beach entitled "Lobbyists" requires the
registration of all lobbyists with the City Clerk prior to engaging in any lobbying activity with the City
Commission, any City Board or Gommittee, or any personnel as defined in the subject Code
sections. Copies of the City Code sections on lobbyists laws are available in the Gity Clerk's office.
Questions regarding the provisions of the Ordinance should be directed to the Office of the City
Attorney.

ANALYSIS
I have received a great deal of negative feedback from residents who are angry about the
closing of Collins Avenue on Thanksgiving Dayweekend.
I worry that someone will have a serious medical condition and not be able to reach the hospital.
I thinkwe need to reevaluate the situation.

I am disappointed in the mayor and entire city commission, for overriding the recommendations
of the citylmployees and residences on the Faena Parade and Opening, Thanksgiving Weekencl

The traffic in Miami Beach is challenging on a normal day to say the ieast with all the
construction, bus and tourists, , ..,.
But Sunday's are a high time for people to come to the beacir..,.then add Thanksgivilg
weekend....then add Art Basel Setup rveekend.. . . . ,.but then also add closing 2 lanes of Collins
Ave and 1lane of indianCreekand4 uoss streets.,....andyouendupwithGRID LOCK!!!!
Again, I feel as if the cornmission and mayor have let the tax paying and voting residence of
Miami Beach down.,.... allowing a developer to lun the city the way he wants.
I am not abie to attend the special commission meeting al2:45pn on Friday, Nov 18 - due to a
charity cycle event. I have cc the entire board of King David Tower and have attached the only
documentation on the lanes closures we have received as of this week.
is the city sending notices on lane closures?
Extra Police onsite during closures?
Special lanes for residences access?
How is the city going to ensure the residence of the area can access there homes?
