Chapter 2, Article Vll, Division 3 of the Gity Code of Miami Beach entitled "Lobbyists" requires the
registration of all lobbyists with the City Clerk priorto engaging in any lobbying activitywith the City
Commission, any City Board or Committee, or any personnel as defined in the subject Code
sections. Gopies of the City Code sections on lobbyists laws are available in the City Clerk's office.
Questions regarding the provisions of the Ordinance should be directed to the Office of the City
Attorney.

RECOMMENDATION
ANALYSIS
Please place on the December 14 City Commission Agenda a consent item for refenal to the
Neighborhood/Community Affairs Committee to consider funding for a permanent park ranger
detail at the North Shore Community Youth Center during the hours of 3:00 p.m. until the park
closure.
It has come to my attention that with our emphasis on Lummus Park Ranger staffing, there is no
Park Ranger staffing at the North Shore Youth Center recreational area. Residents have shared
their concems over a growing number of incidents at the park and have voiced a desire for the
previous Ranger staffing arrangement to be reinstated.
I attach one of various communications from residents regarding the matter.

Safety at North Shore Park
Good Morning Commissioners!
I hope all is well.
My concern is the security and safety at North Shore Park.
There are many teenagers hanging out at the bathrooms and making trouble.
My kids love playing tennis there but they are not feeling safe and is taking away what
sports bring to their life (HAPPINESS)
I Kindly ask you to review it this issue and consider a solution like building public
bathrooms.
