OPENING OF COVERED BICYCLE FACILITY AT THE DOMINO PAVILION IN
BANDSHELL PARK
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to inform the Mayor and City Commission that
the North Beach Domino Pavilion, located within Bandshell Park, has been successfully
repurposed into a covered bicycle parking facility. The project has been completed and is now
open to the public as of Friday, September 12, 2025. The facility will operate from 8:00 AM to 8:00
PM daily.
This initiative was a collaborative effort between the Parks and Recreation Department and the
Transportation and Mobility Department. It marks a meaningful advancement in our ongoing
commitment to promoting sustainable transportation and expanding recreational amenities for both
residents and visitors.
The new facility accommodates up to 22 bicycles and includes two (2) repair stations. It offers a
secure, accessible, and weather-protected environment for cyclists, encouraging greater use of
bicycles as a primary mode of transportation. This project supports the City's broader mobility and
resiliency goals and complements our efforts to enhance recreational infrastructure throughout the
North Beach area.
