The purpose of this Letter to the Commission (L TC) is to provide an update on the efforts

Since January 1, 2025, the MBPD has implemented a series of enhanced strategies,

•Robberies: Down by 29.17%
•Thefts: Down by 16. 72%
•Vehicle Burglaries: Down by 29.77%
These significant reductions across multiple crime categories underscore the continued
success of a proactive policing model and the dedicated work of the men and women of
the MBPD. The data also continues to reflect the value of strong collaboration with
community partners and the continued support from the City Commission.
The MBPD will continue this enhanced effort, further investing in crime prevention
technologies, intelligence-led policing, and partnerships with local stakeholders to sustain
and improve upon these positive trends.
