(b)The measure before my agency and the nature of my conflicting interest in the measure is as follows:
At the September 3,2025 meeting of the Miami Beach City Commission,I abstained from discussing and voting
on Agenda Items C7C and C7D,which are two Resolutions approving an increase in the City's annual
contribution to the Miami Beach Nurse Enhancement Initiative.The purpose of the Nurse Enhancement Initiative
is to provide healthcare services to students in public schools.The funding increase is memorialized in (i)an
amendment to a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Miami Beach (the "City"),the Miami Beach
Chamber Education Foundation Inc.,a not for profit corporation ("MBCEF"),North Bay Village,the Town of Bay
Harbor Islands,the Town of Surfside,and Bal Harbour Village;and (ii)an amendment to a separate
Memorandum of Understanding between the City and MBCEF.
Pursuant to Section 2-11.1(d)of the Miami-Dade County Code,I abstained from participating and voting on this
matter because I serve on the Board of Governors of the Miami-Beach Chamber of Commerce (the "Chamber"),
and MBCEF is an affiliate of the Chamber.
If disclosure of specific information would violate confidentiality or privilege pursuant to law or rules governing attorneys,a public officer,
who is also an attorney,may comply with the disclosure requirements of this section by disclosing the nature of the interest in such a way
as to provide the public with notice of the conflict.
