NOW TNEREFQRE, in consideration of the mutual promises and canditions containPd herein, and other good and valuable consideration, the suffici�ncy of which is hereby acknowledged, the City�nd Contractor hereby agree to amend the Agreement as follows: 1. ABOVE RECITALS. The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated as part of this Amendment. 2. On April 10,2025,Suncoast advised representatives of the Facilities and Fieet Management Department that it would cease rendering services to the City, effective July 31, 2025,citing a substantial increase in material pricing and labor costs since the contract was executed.The Facilities and Fleet Management Department staff extended the opportunity to process a rate adjustment applicable to the labor rates on the existing contract with Suncoast.However,on May 20,2025,Suncoast confirmed in an email that it would not move forward with a contract amendment and reiterated that it would only provide services through July 31,2�25. To ensure continuity of service,minimize disruption,and uphold project timelines,the Department engaged the secondary vendor,SW Elevators, LLC.As with Suncoast, SW Elevators also experienced chailenges in servicing elevators with the established rates in the contract and requested a rate increase.To proceed,the Department went before the City Commission at the luly 23,2025,Commission Meeting,where the rate increase was approved pursuant to Resolution 2025-33820.
