SUBJECT : Food Distribution Events in November 2025
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to provide an update on the ongoing collaborative efforts between the City of Miami Beach and Feeding South Florida in hosting free food distribution events to assist residents affected by the ongoing U.S. government shutdown . We have expanded our monthly distribution to provide events on a weekly basis for the first three weeks in November. We will continue to monitor the progress on restarting federal food assistance to determine the frequency of future events. As stated in L TC# 465-2025 , on November 7, 2025 , the City hosted the first distribution event, serving over 160 households.
The following are upcoming events :

Location: Parking Lot P60 , 4000 Chase Avenue , Miami Beach , FL 33140
Residents are encouraged to arrive early as food will be distributed on a first-come , first-served basis wh il e supplies last.
To ensure broad community awareness , information about the event is being disseminated through the City's official social media platforms , resident committees, and Parks and Recreation programming . Additionally , event details are being posted in our walk-in centers and shared with our community partners to maximize outreach and participation. Please refer to the attached flyer.
