Granado, City Clerk L// '6,, \ December 16, 2025 SUBJECT: DEADLINES TO SUBMIT ITEM(S) FOR THE AUGUST 18, 2026 PRIMARY ELECTION AND NOVEMBER 3, 2026 GENERAL ELECTION BALLOTS. If the City of Miami Beach wants to hold a special election along with the Countywide 2026 Primary and General Elections, the deadlines listed below must be followed to ensure enough time for ballot preparation and to meet State-mandated deadlines for mailing vote-by-mail ballots to overseas voters. Note that pursuant to Florida Statutes Section 100.151, " ... the governing authority of a municipality shall not call any special election until notice is given to the Supervisor of Elections and his (her) consent obtained as to a date ... " Once approval is obtained from the Supervisor of Elections, the Resolution to call a special election must be passed to meet the deadlines listed below.
