RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATION TO
EXTEND THE LICENSE PERIOD IN THE 2026-2030 MIAMI INTERNATIONAL
BOAT SHOW LICENSE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
AND YACHTING PROMOTIONS, INC., BY SEVEN (7) ADDITIONAL DAYS FOR
THE 2026 ANNUAL SHOW SOLELY IN RESPECT OF THE PARK AREA; AND
DIRECTING THE ADMINISTRATION TO NEGOTIATE THE APPLICABLE FEES
AND OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR SUCH EXTENSION IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THE LICENSE AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach ("City) and Yachting Promotions, Inc. ("Licensee")
entered into a License Agreement dated April 25, 2025, forthe use of certain City -owned property,
including the northern portion of Indian Beach Park, for the production of the Miami International
Boat Show ("Annual Show) during the years 2026 through 2030; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1(b) of the License Agreement, the License Period for
each Annual Show may be extended beyond the standard twenty-two (22) consecutive days,
subject to mutual agreement of the parties and payment of additional fees calculated al the greater
of (a) the City's then -prevailing daily rates for use of the Premises or (b) the Per Diem Rate as
defined in the License Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Licensee has requested an extension of the License Period for the 2026
Annual Show by seven (7) additional days, commencing on January 26, 2026, for the use of the
park area to accommodate operational needs related to the Annual Show; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends approval of the requested extension and
seeks authorization to negotiate the applicable fees for such extension in accordance with the
terms of the License Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby authorized the City Administration to extend the License Period of the 2026-
2030 Miami International Boat Show License Agreement by seven (7) additional days,
commencing January 26, 2026 for the 2026 Annual Show solely in respect of the park area; and
direct the City Administration to negotiate the applicable fees for such extension in accordance
with the terms of the License Agreement.
