Homeless Point in Time Census -January 22-23, 2026
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to advise that the City's Homeless Outreach Services
Division will participate in the countywide Point in Time Census, coordinated by the Miami-Dade
County Homeless Trust, on January 22-23, 2026.
The Point in Time Census, conducted each January and August, is a biannual physical count of homeless individuals on City streets. This census will take place between 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, and 6:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026. The Division's walk-in center will remain
fully operational during normal business hours (7:30 a.m. -6:00 p.m.) on both Thursday and Friday.
Staff will provide an update on the Point in Time Census results in a subsequent Letter to
Commission. If you have any questions, please contact Alba Tarre, Director, Office of Housing and
