The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to inform the Mayor and Commission of the motion passed by the Parks and Recreational Facilities Advisory Board at its meeting on January 15, 2026.
MOTION# 1:
The Parks and Hecreational Facilities Advisory Board recommends the installation of artificial turf
for all future dog parks and converting current dog park surfaces to artificial turf as deemed necessary.
Motion made by: Shannon Koonin Motion seconded by: Donald Goldberg Motion passes: Unanimously (11-0)

MOTION #2:
The Parks and Recreational Facilities Advisory Board recommends adding permanent lighting to
Polo Park and it be added to the Department's 5-year Capital Plan.

MOTION #3
The Parks and Recreational Facilities Advisory Board motions to allow members to attend up to
two (2) meetings virtually within a calendar year. Any members electing to attend virtually must
provide at least seventy-two (72) hours' notice to ensure Board can maintain quorum.

Virtual attendance may be used a maximum of two times per year and will count toward a
member's attendance records;however,members attending virtually shall not count toward
quorum and shall not be permitted to vote.
