A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
2025-33694, ADOPTED ON MAY 21, 2025, TO AUTHORIZE THE MIAMI
BEACH COMMISSION FOR WOMEN TO REALLOCATE THE TEN
THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000) IN SEED FUNDING ORIGINALLY
DESIGNATED FOR THE RELAUNCH OF THE ANNUAL WOMEN'S
CONFERENCE, TO SUPPORT OTHER WOMEN -FOCUSED EVENTS
AND EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, on May 21, 2025, the Mayor and City Commission adopted Resolution
No. 2025-33694 allocating $10,000 in seed funding to support the relaunch of the annual
Women's Conference in celebration of Women's History Month 2026; and
WHEREAS, the Commission for Women has identified additional opportunities to
advance gender equity and civic engagement through other women -focused events and
educational initiatives; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission desire to provide flexibility in the use
of these funds to allow the Commission for Women to reallocate the original seed funding
to support such events and projects.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby amend Resolution No. 2025-33694, adopted on May 21, 2025, to
authorize the Miami Beach Commission for Women to reallocate the Ten Thousand
Dollars ($10,000) in seed funding originally designated for the relaunch of the annual
women's conference, to support other women -focused events and educational projects.
