Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2026- 090-ND for Professional Design Services for Miami Beach ConventionCenter (MBCC) Roof Remediation/Replacement
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2026-090-ND. The RFQ seeks proposals from
qualified architectural or engineering consulting firms with demonstrated experience in roof
remediation and replacement design.
Proposals pursuant to this RFQ were received on February 2, 2026. The responsive proposals will
be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established in the RFQ.
I have appointed the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
•James Bartell, Operations Manager, Building Department•Francisco Garcia, Division Director, Department of Parks, Facilities, Fleet and Beaches
•Angelo Grande, Director of Venue Operations, OVG360
•Karla Lopez, Project Manager, Office of Capital Improvement Projects
I have also appointed the following individuals as alternates:
•Alexander Garcia, Division Director Building Operations, Building Department•Olga Sanchez, Senior Facilities Capital Projects Coordinator, Department of Parks,
Facilities, Fleet and Beaches
•Larissa Vargas, Project Manager, Office of Capital Improvement Projects•Thuy Vuong, Assistant General Manager, OVG360
