Miami Beach Police Crack Down on Drunk Drivers
– DUI Sobriety Checkpoints March 14 and March 15–
Miami Beach, FL – In a continuing effort to save lives, the Miami Beach Police Department will
conduct a DUI Sobriety Checkpoint on Friday, March 14, 2025, and Saturday, March 15, 2025
from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. The checkpoint will be located along 5 Street at Meridian Avenue.
According to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, one person is killed
about every 39 minutes in a drunk-driving crash, totaling more than 13,000 lives each year. These
deaths are all preventable.
