Nominees must have made significant positive contributions to Miami Beach and possess an outstanding record of service and/or achievement. Deadline for submitting nominations is August 15th at 5:00 p.m. AWARD CATEGORIES (Check one that applies/ Seleccione la categoría correspondiente): INDIVIDUAL AWARDS – CATEGORIES Lifetime Achievement Award / Premio a la Trayectoria de Vida Honoring an individual with a lifelong dedication to promoting and advancing Hispanic culture, rights, and community well-being. Reconocimiento a un miembro de la comunidad hispana por su dedicación de toda una vida a la promoción y el fortalecimiento de la cultura hispana, los derechos y el bienestar de la comunidad _______Educational Excellence Award / Premio a la Excelencia Educativa Acknowledging educators that have made significant strides in improving education for Hispanic students and fostering academic achievement. Reconocimiento a educador que hayan logrado avances significativos en la mejora de la educación para estudiantes hispanos y en el fomento del rendimiento académico Public Service Award / Premio al Servicio Público Acknowledging an individual in public service, including government, non-profits, and community organizations, who have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of Hispanic individuals and communities. Reconocimiento a personas de origen hispano en el servicio público —incluyendo gobierno, organizaciones sin fines de lucro y comunitarias— que ha trabajado incansablemente para mejorar la vida de individuos y comunidades hispanas. Social Justice and Advocacy Award / Premio a la Justicia Social. Recognizing individuals who have made substantial efforts in advocating for social justice, equity, and the rights of the Hispanic community. Reconocimiento a personas que han realizado esfuerzos significativos en la defensa de la justicia social, la equidad y los derechos de la comunidad hispana. Arts and Entertainment Award / Premio a las Artes & Entretenimiento Celebrating individuals who have made significant contributions to the arts, music, film, literature, or entertainment industry, enhancing the visibility and appreciation of Hispanic culture. Celebra a personas que han realizado contribuciones significativas en las artes, la música, el cine, la literatura o la industria del entretenimiento, fortaleciendo la visibilidad y el reconocimiento de la cultura hispana. REV-6.2025 Youth Leadership Award / Premio al Liderazgo Juvenil Honoring young leaders/ individuals (under 18) who have made a positive impact on their community through service, activism, or innovation. Honra a jóvenes líderes (menores de 18 años) que han generado un impacto positivo en su comunidad a través del servicio, el activismo o la innovación Health and Wellness Advocate Award / Defensor de la Salud y el Bienestar Recognizing efforts to promote health and wellness within the Hispanic community, including healthcare professionals, organizations, and advocates. Reconoce los esfuerzos por promover la salud y el bienestar dentro de la comunidad hispana, incluyendo a profesionales de la salud, organizaciones y defensores comunitarios _______Environmental Stewardship Award / Liderazgo Ambiental Celebrating those who have made significant contributions to environmental conservation and sustainability within the Hispanic community. Celebra a quienes han realizado contribuciones significativas a la conservación del medio ambiente dentro de la comunidad hispana. _______Humanitarian Award / Premio Humanitario Honoring individuals or organizations that have demonstrated exceptional compassion and dedication to humanitarian efforts, impacting the local community. Honra a personas u organizaciones que han demostrado una compasión excepcional y un compromiso destacado con causas humanitarias, generando un impacto positivo en la comunidad local. _______Sports Achievement Award / Premio al Logro Deportivo Acknowledging athletes or sports organizations that have excelled in their field and positively impacted the Hispanic community through sports. Reconoce a atletas u organizaciones deportivas que se han destacado en su disciplina y han generado un impacto positivo en la comunidad hispana a través del deporte. _______Adult Contributing to the Success of Youth / Adulto contribuyente al exito de la Juventud Recognizing an individual who empowers and supports youth through mentorship, education, or advocacy, helping to shape future leaders. Reconoce a una persona que apoya e impulsa a la juventud a través de la tutoria, la educación o la defensa de sus derechos, ayudando a formar a los líderes del futuro. ______Outstanding Hispanic Community Member/ Miembro Destacado de la Comunidad Hispana Honoring a Hispanic individual whose contributions have positively impacted the community and helped elevate the presence, voice, and achievements of the Hispanic community through service, leadership, or advocacy. REV-6.2025 BUSINESS AWARDS – CATEGORIES Business, Business Owner, or key employee of a qualified business (Must be 51%+ Hispanic owned) _______Outstanding Hispanic-Owned Business Award / Empresa Hispana Destacada Recognizing Hispanic-owned business that has demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation, and contribution to the local economy. The business should be known for its excellence in customer service, growth, and community engagement. Reconoce a una entidad legal de origen hispano que ha demostrado un desempeño excepcional, innovación y contribución a la economía local. Este negocio se distingue por su excelencia en el servicio al cliente, su crecimiento y su compromiso con la comunidad. _______Community Impact Award / Premio al Impacto Comunitario Honoring business that has made significant contributions to the Hispanic community through philanthropic efforts, volunteerism, and support of community initiatives. The recipient should exemplify a commitment to social responsibility and positive community impact. The awardee should be an inspiring example of entrepreneurial spirit, overcoming challenges, and achieving notable business milestones. REV-6.2025 Criteria and Rules: Nominations must describe why the nominee merits an award. Individual: The individual must be of Hispanic origin; must currently live or work in Miami Beach; and must have contributed positively to Miami Beach in the categories listed above. No elected official, staff who works in an elected official's office or political candidates can be considered.
