The Youth Commission would like you to be aware of the following motion regarding a requestfora
high school focused gun safety community event, approved at the February 24, 2026 committee
meeting.

Motion 1

Second by Alexander Kravitz
The Youth Commission requests the Mayor and Commission develop and implement a gun
safety community event for high school age Miami Beach residents, with the Miami Beach
Police Department, afterschool or during the weekend at Bayshore Park.
The Youth Commission urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above request.
