Hall of Fame Committee Appointments The purpose of this letter to the Mayor and Commission is to provide an update regarding the 2026 Hall of Fame Committee. On February 5, 2026, the Commission adopted Resolution No. 2026-34077, which created a nine-member Hall of Fame Selection Committee to review the applications, deliberate, and select the 2026 inductee to the City of Miami Beach Hall of Fame. The Selection Committee for the Hall of Fame shall be comprised of nine (9) members, with seven (7) direct appointments made by individual City Commissioners and the Mayor, and two (2) at-large appointments. The seven (7) direct appointments shall be City of Miami Beach residents, and the two (2) at-large appointments may be representatives or owners of a local business or civic association, or residents. At your earliest convenience please send the name and contact information for your direct appointment to Rafael E. Granado, City Clerk. If you also wish to nominate an at-large representative to be voted on by the entire Commission, please share that information with the City Clerk as well. Selection Committee Appointees should be knowledgeable in the following fields of expertise: Business, Education, Arts & Entertainment, Philanthropy, Sport, Public Service, or Literature/History. The Hall of Fame inductee nomination window opened Sunday, February 15, 2026, and will remain open through May 15, 2026, closing at 5:00 pm EST.
