SUBJECT: Grand Hyatt Miami Beach (Convention Center Hotel)
17th Street Traffic Pattern Impact
The purpose of this Letter to the Commission ("L TC") is to provide notice that, beginning the night of March 8 and continuing for approximately six weeks, one traffic lane along 17th Street -adjacent to the Convention Center Hotel project site -will be closed nightly to vehicular traffic from 10:00 p.m. to5:00 a.m.
This closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of underground utility connections for the
Convention Center Hotel Project.
All required traffic control measures will be implemented in accordance with approved Maintenance-ofTraffic (MOT) plans.
This operation has been coordinated with Convention Center and Fillmore operations, as well as the
City's Public Works, Transportation, and Police Departments.
The work is being advanced ahead of any potential milling and resurfacing of 17th Street.
