Design Review Board Recommendation {DRB25-1123) - Sewer Pump Station No. 25 - 2301 Alton Road
On January 8, 2026, the Design Review Board (ORB) reviewed an application on an advisory basis for the installation of a sewer pump station (Sewer Pump Station No. 25) at the intersection of Alton Road and West 27th Street within the Miami Beach Golf Club property.
Project Description The Public Works Department submitted an application pertaining to the PROPOSED SANITARY SEWER & PUMP STATION INSTALLATIONS, for advisory review by the ORB. The project
involves the installation of equipment that is necessary to ensure that sanitary sewers can handle current and future wastewater demands. The project includes the installation of a new sewer pump station and underground infrastructure, replacement of an air handler unit and odor control
unit, as well as new perimeter fencing, landscape screening, a new access gate, and door frame improvements. Additional infrastructure work will take place inside the building and underground that will not be visible from the public right of way.
DRB Review and Recommendation
On January 8, 2026, the ORB approved a motion (7-0), transmitting a favorable recommendation to the City Commission for the project, along with the following additional recommendations:
1.Revisit the landscaping hedge and add trees to break up the design.
2.Take into consideration the movement of traffic.
3.Be aware of existing vegetation.
4.Ensure that the new shrubs are higher than the fence.
5.Utilize mature trees at the time of planting.
