SUBJECT: Cultural Arts Council Motions -March 5, 2026
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to provide an update regarding a motion made during the March 5, 2026, Cultural Arts Council (CAC) meeting.
1.Motion: The Cultural Arts Council (CAC) affirms the high quality of activations andprogramming delivered by CAC-funded organizations. The Cultural Arts Councilassesses them using a detailed rubric with strong interrelated reliability to evaluate their
cultural impact and contribution to economic development in the City of Miami Beach.
The above motion was made by Lauren Cohen, seconded by Bruce Carter, and passed
unanimously.
Members in attendance: Chair David Sexton, Vice Chair Lauren Cohen, Bruce Carter, Orlando Garcia, Barbara Herskowitz, Tiffany Lapciuc, Sarah Leddick, Ian Rand, Alberto Ravelo and Marla Stegman.
