A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A $5,000.00
SPONSORSHIP TO IFCM CORPORATION D/B/A FILMGATE MIAMI
FOR THE "FILMGATE INTERACTIVE FILM FESTIVAL," TO BE
FUNDED FROM THE AVAILABLE ALLOCATION FOR COMMUNITY
EVENTS IN THE RESORT TAX FUND; AND PROVIDING THAT THE
CITY MANAGER OR DESIGNEE IS AUTHORIZED TO TAKE ALL
ACTIONS NECESSARY TO IMPLEMENT THIS SPONSORSHIP.
WHEREAS, the Filmgate Interactive Film Festival is an arts and culture event that
supports creative industries and community engagement; and
WHEREAS, the event is eligible for funding from the available allocation for Community
Events in the Resort Tax Fund; and
WHEREAS, FilmGate Interactive 12 takes place March 18-22, 2026, in Miami and Miami
Beach, Florida, across museums, cultural institutions, outdoor public spaces, and immersive
venues; and
WHEREAS, since launching, FilmGate Interactive has hosted over 200 conversations,
labs, and creative sessions, showcased the work of 400+ artists, and co -produced 20 original
projects; and
WHEREAS, this year, Filmgate will organize multiple events in the City of Miami Beach,
including, at The Bass Museum, Citizen M Hotel, 420 Lincoln Road, and the Miami Beach
Bandshell; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission desire to approve sponsorship in the amount
of $5,000.00 for the Festival, which will be produced by IFCM Corporation d/b/a/ Filmgate Miami.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby approve a $5,000.00 sponsorship to IFCM Corporation d/b/a Filmgate Miami
for the "Filmgate Interactive Film Festival," to be funded from the available allocation for
Community Events in the Resort Tax Fund, and authorize the City Manager or designee to take
all actions necessary to implement the sponsorship. U�
