Miami Beach Police Department's Retiree Wall of Honor Ceremony 2026
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to inform the Mayor and City Commission of the
Miami Beach Police Department's (MBPD) upcoming Retiree Wall of Honor Ceremony to
recognize police officers who have recently retired after at least 20 years of service to the City of
Miami Beach.
The Roll Call of Honor Ceremony wherein the names being added to the wall are announced is a biennial tradition and is an honorable way to recognize these heroes.
This year's ceremony is a collaborative effort as the City of Miami Beach, and the Miami Beach Fraternal Organization of Police joined the Miami Beach Police Department Retirees to make it a success.
Please join members of the Police Department, current and past, on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 as they honor these new retirees. The Wall of Honor Ceremony will commence at 11 :00 AM in front
of the Miami Beach Police Department Headquarters (1100 Washington Avenue) and will be
followed by a luncheon.
Please join the Administration, Chief Wayne Jones and the Police Department's Command Staff in congratulating the retirees and wishing them well on their next chapter.
