SUBJECT: LGBTQIA+ Advisory Committee Motion -April 14, 2026
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to update the Mayor and Commission on a
motion made during the April 14, 2026, LGBTQIA+ Advisory Committee Meeting.
Motion:
In light of the potential impacts of Senate Bill 1134 on Miami Beach Pride and other LGBTQIA+
organizations, the LGBTQIA+ Advisory Committee recommends that the City Commission
evaluate the feasibility of, and strongly consider entering into, long-term agreements with
LGBTQIA+ and other community organizations prior to January 1, 2027.
Motion was made by Eddy Rivero, seconded by Ami Glottman and was passed unanimously.
