The workshop, titled Leading and Managing Teams, will take place on August 4-5, 2026, at Miami Beach Nautilus Middle School. It is intended for elected officials and public-school administrators. Since the City of Miami Beach established the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at all Miami Beach public schools in 2008 through the Education Compact with M-DCPS, each school has earned and maintained IB World School status. The IB program provides a rigorous curriculum that promotes critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and academic excellence. Students pursuing the IB Diploma complete advanced coursework that prepares them for postsecondary pathways. Miami Beach Senior High School continues to lead in the percentage of students earning the IB Diploma. The diploma offers significant financial value for families, providing up to 30 college credits and guaranteeing eligibility for the highest tier of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship. This workshop builds on our longstanding commitment to academic excellence by equipping participants with strategies to effectively lead and develop teams.
