SUBJECT: UPCOMING MAY 2026 SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT APPLICATIONS
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to provide information on permit applications being processed by the Tourism and Culture Department for May 2026 as of the date of publication. The list below also includes applications submitted for Pop-Ups, Ceremonies, and Temporary Sampling activations. Not all applications have been completed, as they are in varying stages of reviews.
A.Special Events on Public Property:
SPE1025-2178 Official Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Fan Festival Location: Lummus Park 11th-13th streets Event Dates: April 29, 2026 -April 30, 2026; 2:00 PM -6PM May 1, 2026 -May 3, 2026; 12:00 PM -6:00 PM Estimated Attendance: 12,000 throughout the days Description: Official Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix Fan festival with a series of events including driver appearances, simulators, pit stop challenges, and more. Free and open to the public.
*This event received special event permit fee waivers.
