City of Miami Beach Recognized as "100 Best Fleets" in the Americas
The purpose of this Letter to Commission ("L TC") is to provide the Mayor and the City Commission
with an announcement recognizing the City of Miami Beach as one of the Top 100 Best Fleets in
the Americas by the National Association of Fleet Administrators ("NAFA") for the fifth year in a
row.
NAFA is the world's largest membership association for individuals who manage the vehicular fleet
and mobility responsibilities for their employers. NAFA propels the fleet and mobility profession
through its world-class certification, education, advocacy, and peer-networking programs. It is an
essential element of success for individuals involved in the profession. NAFA members control
more than 4.8 million vehicles and manage assets with a value of more than $122 billion. These
vehicles collectively travel more than 84 billion miles annually.
NAFA's 100 Best Fleets in the Americas program recognizes high-performing fleet operations in
the public industry. Participants of this highly competitive program are evaluated on "12 Criteria of
Excellence" encompassing the qualities of high-performing fleets, based on the following:

•Performance Recognition and Celebration
•Evidence of High Trust Culture
•Financial Management

On April 13, 2026, the City of Miami Beach Fleet Management Division was recognized as the 69 th
best fleet among the 100 Best Fleets in North America for 2026. The honor was announced at
NAFA's 2026 Institute & Expo in Cleveland, Ohio.
The program recognizes peak-performing fleet operations within the 38,000 public fleets in North

Ranking among the best Fleets in North America five years in a row is a testament to our
commitment to excellence and efficiency and reflects our city's commitment to continuous
improvement, fiscal responsibility, and environmental stewardship. Through strategic initiatives,
the Fleet Management Division has implemented best practice solutions, and with the help of our
Information Technology Department we continue to incorporate data integration solutions to
improve efficiency, track performance, improve condition of the facility, and enhance the level of
service provided to the City's user departments. NAFA's recognition as Top 100 Best Fleets is a
great and much deserved achievement.
