SUBJECT: Grand Hyatt Miami Beach (Convention Center Hotel) -Traffic Pattern Impact
The purpose of this Letter to the Commission ("L TC") is to provide notice of the temporary closure of
Convention Center Drive, between 17th Street and Convention Center south loading driveway, in
connection with construction activities for the Grand Hyatt Miami Beach (Convention Center Hotel).
To maintain construction progress, the developer's contractor must disassemble the crawler crane previously used for the structural steel truss assembly and installation, which is now complete. Given the logistics required for this operation, closure of the portion of Convention Center Drive adjacent to the
Hotel site is required.
The closure will begin at 5:00 AM on Saturday, May 16, and will remain in effect through Sunday, May
17, with Monday, May 18, reserved as a backup day if needed.

Traffic control measures will be implemented in accordance with approved maintenance-of-traffic (MOT)
plans.
This operation has been coordinated with Convention Center and Fillmore Operations, as well as the City's Public Works, Transportation, Parking, and Police Departments.
