Subject:PVNA Supports the Safe Streets for All Grant Application
To the U.S.Department of Transportation,
The Palm View Neighborhood Association supports the City of Miami Beach's application for
the U.S.Department of Transportation's Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A)grant program.
We endorse the City of Miami Beach's SS4A application and urge the U.S.Department of
Transportation to approve this important funding request.
PVNA expects that this program will help the City test safety programs before permanent
construction-evaluating tools like curb extensions, raised crosswalks,or designated bike
lanes-to ensure they produce significant safety improvements without causing unnecessary
traffic congestion or reducing vehicular access.
The Palm View Neighborhood Association is a crucial organization representing the most historic district
of Miami Beach.We represent Single-family homeowners,condominium dwellers,and apartment
residents helping to find opportunities to improve the quality of life in South Beach,Miami Beach, and
beyond.
Respectfully,
Palm View Neighborhood Association Board of Directors
