SUBJECT: Motion from the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC) is to inform the Mayor and City Commission of a motion passed by the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee ("Committee") during a special
meeting held on May 26, 2026.
The Committee motioned to prioritize affordable housing activities by allocating FY 26-27 CDBG funding in the amount of $598,992.55 for the acquisition of properties to be designated as affordable housing. The Administration will incorporate the Committee’s motion as part of the FY 26-27 Action Plan that will be submitted to the Mayor and City Commission for approval at its June 24, 2027 meeting.
The above motion was made by Nancy Gaggino, seconded by Seth Cohen, and passed unanimously.
Members in attendance: Commissioner Monica Matteo-Salinas- Chair, Bob W. Cook- Vice-Chair, Alexandre Anglade, Kevin Krueger, Debra Quade, Seth Cohen, and Nancy Gaggino.
