SUBJECT: Police K9 Graduation Ceremony
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to inform the Mayor and City Commission of a
Miami Beach Police Department K9 Graduation Ceremony for new K9 handler teams scheduled
for Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 9:00 A.M. The ceremony will be held at the Miami Beach Police
Department, Community Room located at 1100 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139.
Following the graduation ceremony, the K9/Officer teams will perform a demonstration outside the
station on 11th Street.
The ceremony will see the graduation of the following K9 handler teams:
•Sergeant Luis Perez and K9 Odin
•Officer Miguel Robaina and K9 Ranger
•Officer Kelvin Pena and K9 Ridley
•Officer Austin Stenback and K9 Gator
This special graduation ceremony will also honor the service and memory of Retired Officer
Kenneth (Kenny) Macleod and his K9 partner, Boston, both of whom passed away earlier this
year.
Please join the Administration, Chief Wayne Jones and the Police Department's Command Staff
in honoring Officers Macleod and Boston and wishing the new K9 handler teams well on their new
assignment.
