SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2026-008-WG for Holiday Lighting
The purpose of this L TC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2026-008-WG. In anticipation of the expiration of the City's current contract for holiday lighting services, the City sought proposals from qualified firm(s) for a comprehensive, turnkey approach to seasonal design, furnish, install & remove, maintain, and store holiday lighting and decorations, in an effort to accentuate the City's major thoroughfares.
The City received proposals pursuant to this RFQ on May 5, 2026. The responsive proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established in the RFQ.
I have appointed the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee: •Alain Fernandez, Electrician Supervisor, Public Works Department•Emilio Giacchino, Project Engineer, Public Works Department•Jonathan Plutzik, Owner, The Betsy Hotel•Anthony Scallo, Facilities Manager, Parks, Facilities, Fleet and Beaches•Santiago Sellan, Contracts Compliance Administrator, Parks, Facilities, Fleet & Beaches
I have also appointed the following individuals as alternates: •Javier Fulgueira, Facilities Manager, Parks, Facilities, Fleet, and Beaches•Frank Garcia, Division Director, Parks, Facilities, Fleet, and Beaches•Valeria Mejia, ADA Coordinator, Public Works Department
