A. MODIFICATIONS

The applicant is requesting modifications to conditions of approval for a previously
approved variance for the reduction from the minimum required 300 foot distance
separation between dance hall/entertainment establishments licensed to sell alcoholic
beverages and not operating as a restaurant with full kitchen and serving full meals.
Specifically, the applicant is requesting to change the name of the owner/operator and to
modify a condition regarding the hours of operation.

The applicant is requesting the following variances in order to install a sign on the south
side of the building:
1. A variance to relocate a permitted flat sign from the first floor to the top parapet of
the building fronting North Lincoln Lane.
2. A variance to exceed by 77.25 s.f. the maximum area of 30 s. f. for a flat sign in
order to install a new sign with 107.25 s.f. at the top parapet of the building
fronting North Lincoln Lane.

The applicant is requesting the following variances in order to sell alcoholic beverages,
including liquor for both on premises and off premises consumption:
1. A variance to reduce by twenty-one (21) seats the minimum required sixty (60)
seats for a restaurant selling full liquor in order to operate a thirty-nine (39) seat
restaurant serving beer, wine and liquor for consumption on the premises.
2. A variance to reduce by 81 feet the minimum required 300 foot separation
between retail stores that sells alcoholic beverages for off premises consumption,
in order to sell beer, wine and liquor for off-site consumption at a distance of 219
feet from a Walgreens store.
Approved – Fox/Goldberg 7-0.
C. DISCUSSION
-Powers and Duties of the Board of Adjustment
Resolution passed requesting the City Commission to discuss the scope of authority of
the Board of Adjustment and requesting the City Commission to further facilitate
customer service to applicants for land use related matters. Colin/Baron 7-0.
D. NEXT MEETING DATE
Friday, July 10, 2015

inspection during normal business hours in the office of the Planning Department located at 17 00
Convention Center Drive, 2nd Floor, City Hall, Miami Beach, Florida 33139. Inquiries may be directed to

and, under such circumstances, further advertised legal notice may not be provided.
