1. Inventory of vacant buildings in the City’s Historic Districts threatened by neglect.
DISCUSSED; UPDATES TO BE PRESENTED TO THE HPB ON AN ONGOING BASIS
III. REQUESTS FOR EXTENSIONS OF TIME
1. HPB File No. 6012, 1340 Collins Avenue – The Beachcomber Hotel. The
applicant, Beachcomber Investments Corp., is requesting a one (1) year
Extension of Time to obtain a Building Permit for a previously issued Certificate
of Appropriateness for the partial demolition, renovation, and restoration of the
existing 2-story hotel, including the construction of a new roof-top addition.
APPROVED
2. HPB File No. 6053, 735 Collins Avenue – Lynmar Hotel. The applicant, London
Arms/Lynmar Ltd., is requesting a one (1) year Extension of Time to obtain a
Building Permit for a previously issued Certificate of Appropriateness for the
partial demolition, renovation and restoration of the existing 4-story structure,
including modifications to the front of the building in order to provide an
accessible entrance.

3. HPB File No. 6088, 1200 Meridian Avenue - Flamingo Park Tennis Center. The
applicant, the City of Miami Beach, is requesting a one (1) year Extension of
Time to obtain a Building Permit for a previously issued Certificate of
Appropriateness for the demolition of the existing single story tennis facility and
single story restroom building, and the construction of a new single story tennis
facility and associated tennis courts.

IV. MODIFICATIONS TO PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PROJECTS
1. HPB File No. 6088, 1200 Meridian Avenue - Flamingo Park Tennis Center. The
applicant, the City of Miami Beach, is requesting revisions to a previously issued
Certificate of Appropriateness for the demolition of the existing single story tennis
facility and single story restroom building, and the construction of a new single
story tennis facility and associated tennis courts. Specifically, the applicant is
requesting to expand the area of tennis courts northward into the park with the
construction of five (5) additional tennis courts.
APPROVED WITHOUT ANY NEW TENNIS COURTS
V. REQUESTS FOR CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS
1. New Projects
a. HPB File No. 7032, 530 Meridian Avenue – Meridian Place Apartments.
The applicant, Miami Beach Community Development Corp., is
requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition and
renovation of the existing 3-story structure, including the construction of a
new elevator within the original lobby.
APPROVED
b. HPB File No. 6984, 6565 Collins Avenue - Sherry Frontenac Hotel. The
applicant, Sherry Frontenac Resort, Inc., is requesting a Certificate of
Appropriateness for the demolition of the existing one (1) and two (2)
story cabanas, and the construction of new one (1) and two (2) story
cabana structures.
APPROVED
c. HPB File No. 7031, 4360-4370 Collins Avenue – The Fontainebleau
South Parking Lot. The applicant, Fontainebleau Florida Hotel, LLC., is
requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of a
permanent valet parking lot exclusively for the use of the Fontainebleau
Hotel.
APPROVED
