REQUESTS FOR CONTINUANCES / WITHDRAWALS 1. HPB File No. 5395, 805 5th Street – Burmon Building. The applicant, Burmon Investments, Inc., is requesting modifications to a previously approved Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of a new 3-story commercial structure on a vacant lot. Specifically the applicant is requesting to incorporate an automatic parking system into the design, which will require modifications to the previously approved building elevations, and increase the building height to 4-stories. CONTINUED TO SEPTEMBER 8, 2009 II. REQUESTS FOR EXTENSIONS OF TIME 1. HPB File No. 5164, 841 19th Street. The applicants, Friedrich Koesters and Michael Jarboe are requesting a one (1) year Extension of Time in order to complete construction and request a Final Inspection for a previously approved Single Family Ad Valorem Tax Exemption for the restoration, renovation and rehabilitation of the existing home, as well as for a new addition. APPROVED III. MODIFICATIONS TO PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PROJECTS 1. HPB File No. 3634, 2100 Collins Avenue and 2101 Collins Avenue – Collins Park Cultural Campus. The applicant, the City of Miami Beach, is requesting modifications to a previously issued Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition, relocation and renovation of existing landscaping, as well as new landscaping, site furnishings, lighting, walkways, plazas and the restoration of the existing rotunda structure. Specifically, the applicant is requesting to install an interactive water feature in the central corridor of the park. APPROVED IV. REQUESTS FOR CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS 1. New Projects Page 2 of 2 Historic Preservation Board After Action Report Meeting Date: August 11, 2009 a. HPB File No. 6686, 2101 Collins Avenue – Collins Park Sculpture. The applicant, the City of Miami Beach, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the installation of a new outdoor Art Sculpture located at the east end of Collins Park. APPROVED b. HPB File No. 6639, 1601-1619 Drexel Avenue – Lincoln East Parking Garage. The applicant, 420 Lincoln Road Development, LLC., is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the total demolition of an existing 3-story building and an existing single story structure and the construction of a new 5-story parking garage with accessory ground level commercial space. APPROVED c. HPB File No. 6640, 1400 Collins Avenue – Walgreens. The applicant, Walgreen, Co. is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the total demolition of the existing single story gas station structures and the construction of a new 2-story commercial building. APPROVED d. HPB File No. 6682, 830 5th Street. The applicant, 5th and Jeff., LLC., is requesting a Certificate of appropriateness for the partial demolition and renovation of the existing single story building, including design modifications to the existing storefronts and building facades. CONTINUED TO SEPTEMBER 8, 2009 e. HPB File No. 6685, 330 Lincoln Road. The applicant, Stone Management Assoc., LLC., is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition of the existing storefront, and the construction of a new storefront with pass-thru windows. CONTINUED TO SEPTEMBER 8, 2009 V. REQUESTS FOR PRELIMINARY EVALUATIONS 1. HPB File No. 6688, 919 4TH Street. The applicant, Put God First Investment Inc. is requesting a preliminary evaluation for the partial or total demolition of the existing single story buildings on the site. ITEM DISCUSSED VI.
