HPB File No. 3634, 2100 Collins Avenue and 2101 Collins Avenue – Collins Park Cultural Campus. The applicant, the City of Miami Beach, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition, relocation and renovation of existing landscaping, as well as new landscaping, site furnishings, lighting, walkways, plazas and the restoration of the existing rotunda structure. [The applicant is requesting a continuance to July 11, 2006] CONTINUED: to July 11, 2006 II. NEW BUSINESS 1. Discussion: Status of Capital Improvement Projects throughout the City, including the 16th street operational improvements and enhancement project. DISCUSSED 2. Proposed By-Law Amendment pertaining to Property Ownership and Scale Models. APPROVED 3. Discussion: Proposed Ordinance Amendment pertaining to revised development regulations for the Flamingo Park Historic District. APPROVED 4. Discussion: Summer Vacations. DISCUSSED 5. HPB File No. 1844, 6701 Collins Avenue - The Deauville Hotel. The applicant, Deauville Hotel Property, L.L.C., pursuant to Section 118-564(c) of the City Code, is requesting a variance in order to extend the time period to obtain a Full Building Permit for a previously issued Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition, partial reconstruction, alteration, renovation and rehabilitation of an existing hotel complex, as well as the construction of a new 21-story residential structure. The applicant, Oview at Collins, LLC, is requesting a one (1) year Extension of Time to obtain a Full Building Permit for a previously issued Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of an 8 story residential structure. APPROVED 2. HPB File No. 2607, 100 37th Street – Ocean Grande Hotel. The applicant, Beachfront Properties, LLC, is requesting a one (1) year Extension of Time to obtain a Full Building Permit for a previously issued Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition, renovation and alteration of an existing structure hotel structure and the construction of a 6 level residential structure. APPROVED IV. REQUESTS FOR REHEARINGS 1. HPB File No. 2445, 1701 Collins Avenue – Ritz Plaza. The applicants, Beach Hotel Associates, L.L.C., d/b/a Delano Hotel, and Chisholm Properties South Beach, Inc. d/b/a Doubletree Surfcomber Hotel, are requesting a re-hearing for a previously issued Certificate of Appropriateness for the demolition of the single story cabana structure at the rear of the property, the renovation and alteration of the existing structure and the construction of a new five (5) story residential structure. If the request for a re-hearing is granted, the matter shall be heard immediately. This request was previously considered by the Board and the matter has been remanded back to the Board by the Special Master. REHEARING GRANTED REHEARING CONTINUED to July 11, 2006 V. REVISIONS TO PREVIOUSLY APPROVED PLANS 1. HPB File No. 1946, 3801 Collins Avenue – Mosaic. The applicant, WCI Communities, Inc., is requesting revisions to a previously issued Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of a 20 story residential structure with accessory townhomes, in order to modify the configuration of the exterior glass curtain wall. CONTINUED: to July 11, 2006 VI. REQUESTS FOR CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS 1. Previously Continued Projects a. HPB File No. 3480, 843 Meridian Avenue. The applicant, 843 Meridian L.L.C. is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition, renovation and restoration of the existing one (1) and two (2) story buildings on site, and the construction of a new 3-story multifamily building. HPB File No. 3479, 2901-2912 Collins Avenue, 201-265 29th Street, & 2901-2911 Indian Creek Drive – The Seville Annex. The applicant, 2901 Beach Ventures L.L.L.P., is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the demolition of the 2-story ‘contributing’ building at 2901 Indian Creek Drive, the partial demolition and renovation of the two 2-story buildings at 2911 Indian Creek Drive, and the construction of a new 7- story multifamily building. APPROVED 2. New Projects a. HPB File No. 3678, 7701 Atlantic Way – Quadros Residence. The applicants, Mr. and Mrs. Mario Quadros, are requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of a 3-story single family home on a vacant lot. APPROVED b. HPB File No. 3681, 620 Ocean Drive. The applicant, Six Twenty Partners, LTD, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of a 4-story mixed-use commercial-hotel structure, with a roof-top terrace. APPROVED c. HPB File No. 3680, 1776 Collins Avenue – The Fairfax Hotel. The applicant, Fairfax Hotel Partnership, LTD, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition, substantial restoration and renovation of an existing hotel structure including the conversion of the existing lobby into a restaurant, the construction of a new exterior roof deck with an accessory bar and cooking facilities, as well as new roof- top canopy structures, and alterations to the front and side terraces. APPROVED d. HPB File No. 3679, 1131 Collins Avenue – The Kent Hotel. The applicant, 1131 Kent, LLC, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the renovation of an existing hotel structure including the construction of a new exterior bar and canopy structure, as well as a one-story accessory structure. CONTINUED: to July 11, 2006 e. HPB File No. 3684, 4441 Collins Avenue – The Fontainebleau. The applicants, Fontainebleau Florida Hotel, L.L.C. and Fontainebleau Florida Tower 4, L.L.C., are requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial demolition, renovation and restoration of the existing hotel lobby.
