I. DEMOLITION REQUESTS:
HPB File No. 2167, 2100 Collins Avenue – Miami Beach Public Library. The applicant, The
City of Miami Beach, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the demolition of the
1963 Miami Beach Library building.
APPROVED
II. HISTORIC DESIGNATIONS:
HPB File No. 2220, 5645 North Bay Road. The applicants, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Cherry, are
requesting that the Historic Preservation Board approve a request for the designation of
an existing single family home as an historic structure.
APPROVED
III. PREVIOUSLY CONTINUED PROJECTS
HPB File No. 2068, 448 and 458 Ocean Drive – Ocean Five. The applicant, Sayeh
Corporation, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the demolition of an existing
retail structure and the reconstruction of the same structure further south on the site.

IV. NEW PROJECTS
a. HPB File No. 2166, 23rd to 63rd Sts, between Atlantic Ocean and Indian Creek Dr.
– Infrastructure Improvements. The applicant, The City of Miami Beach, is
requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the repair, extension & widening of
sidewalks, street resurfacing, improvement of beachfront street-ends, street
lighting upgrades, bicycle paths and pedestrian accessways, and shoreline
enhancements.

b. HPB File No. 2168, 801-817 Washington Avenue. The applicant, MCJC, Inc., is
requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of a ground level
one (1) s tory retail building addition to an existing one (1) and two (2) story retail
building.

c. HPB File No. 2169, 919 Collins Avenue. The applicant, South Collins Property
Investments L.L.C., is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for construction
of a one (1) level roof top addition on an existing two (2) story structure.

d. HPB File No. 2170, 7701-7900 Atlantic Way & 7701-7900 Collins Avenue. The
applicants, The City of Miami Beach and the Altos Del Mar Home Owners
Association, are requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for street
improvements, including the installation of street and sidewalk pavers, street
landscaping, ornamental street lighting, construction of a perimeter wall, new
utiliti es, and controlled access for Atlantic Way.
APPROVED: Perimeter walls and improvements on Collins, 77th, 78th, and 79th Streets

e. HPB File No. 2214, 7833 Atlantic Way. The applicant, Altos del mar Ltd. c/o
Augustin Herran, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the
construction of a new single family home on a vacant site.

f. HPB File No. 2215, 7825 Atlantic Way. The applicant, Altos del mar Ltd. c/o
Augustin Herran, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the
construction of a new single family home on a vacant site.

g. HPB File No. 2218, 1025, 1037 and 1045 Michigan Avenue. The applicant,
Nipojeve, LLC, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness to construct a new
three (3) story, multi -family residential building on a site containing three (3)
existing residential structures.
APPROVED
h. HPB File No. 2219, 1433 Collins Avenue - Carlton Hotel. The applicant, The
Beginning LC, is requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness for the partial
demolition, alteration, renovation and restoration, of an existing hotel, inclusive of
the construction of a new four (4) story annex structure.

V. NEW BUSINESS
Re-Classification of Historic Structures:
HPB File No. 2217, 726 Michigan Avenue. The applicant, Carmen Dominguez, is requesting to
change the status of the subject property from Contributing to Non-Contributing in the City’s
Historic Properties Database.

c. Consideration of the North Shore Band Shell, located at 7251 Collins Avenue, in North
Shore Park, for possible designation as a local historic site.

d. Update on consideration of the Gilbert Fein neighborhood, generally located between Bay
Road and Biscayne Bay, along 16th Street and Lincoln Terrace, for possible designation
as a local historic district.
