1. Presentation by the Police Department on Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA)

II. REQUESTS FOR EXTENSIONS OF TIME
1. HPB File No. 1306, 234 Meridian Avenue. The applicant, Les Beilinson, is requesting a one
(1) year Extension of Time to obtain a Building Permit for a previously issued Certificate of
Appropriateness in order to partially demolish, alter, and rehabilitate an existing residential
structure in conjunction with the construction of three (3) new townhomes on an adjacent
lot.
APPROVED: One (1) Year
III. REQUESTS FOR CERTIFICATES OF APPROPRIATENESS
1. Previously Continued Projects
a. HPB File No. 1552, 4360 Collins Avenue. The applicant, 4360 Collins, LLC, is
requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness to construct a new eight (8) story
residential building on a vacant lot.\

2. New Projects
a. HPB File No. 1733, 242 Washington Avenue. The applicant, Obiza II Corp., is
requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness to remove the roof of an existing
structure and replace it with a tiki style thatched roof, as well as partial demo lition
and alterations to the exterior and site modifications.

b. HPB File No. 1732, 137 Washington Avenue. The applicant, City of Miami Beach, is
requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness to construct a permanent, surface
level parking lot.

c. HPB File No. 1728, 1420 Michigan Avenue. The applicant, Antonio Priscal, is
requesting a Certificate of Appropriateness to partially demolish, alter and modify
and existing single family home, in conjunction with the construction of a one story
ground level addition and a second floor roof -top addition.

d. HPB File No. 1727, 928 Pennsylvania Avenue. The applicant, Joy Pearlman, is
requesting an After-The-Fact Certificate of Appropriateness for the demolition of a
one-story residential structure, as ordered by the C.M.B. Build ing Official.

IV. REQUESTS FOR PRELIMINARY EVALUATIONS
1. HPB File No. 1764, 928 Pennsylvania Avenue. The applicant, Joy Pearlman, is requesting a
preliminary evaluation for a proposed 3-story, 8-unit condominium building.
