AFTER ACTION REPORT

1.HPB File No. 1133, 100 17th Street (Eastern Terminus of 17th Street)
- 17th Street Restroom Facility. The City Manager is requesting a
rehearing of a previous request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for
Demolition in order to demolish an existing restroom facility at the
eastern terminus of 17th Street. The application was denied at the
March 9, 2000 Historic Preservation Board meeting and if the request
for a rehearing is granted by the Board, the matter may be heard
immediately.
Rehearing granted and set for 6/13/00.
2.Status Report: Regal Apartments
Board requested applicant to submit request for revisions to previously approved
plans.
3.Proposed Revisions to the Historic Preservation Ordinance.
Board endorses; to go to Planning Board on 5/23/00.
4.HPB File No. 1108, Collins Avenue and Liberty Avenue between 21st
and 23rd Streets - Miami Beach Regional Library and Cultural Campus.
The applicant, the City of Miami Beach, is requesting an amendment to
the Final Order for a previously issued Certificate of Appropriateness for
Demolition to demolish four (4) existing structures fronting on 22nd
Street and Liberty Avenue, in order to allow for the demolition of the
subject structures prior to the issuance of a Full Building Permit for the
overall project.
Board clarifies order and denies request of City, without prejudice.
