SUBJECT:Personnel Board Group 1 Election
Pursuant to City Code Section 2-190.69,the Office of the City Clerk commenced election
procedures to elect the employee representative of Group 1 for the Personnel Board,for the term
commencing August 1,2026 and ending July 31,2029.Group 1 consists of "Police Department,
Fire Department,and Ocean Rescue Division employees."
On May 27,2026,a notice was sent to eligible Group 1 employees informing them that an election
had been called to elect the Group 1 employee representative to the Personnel Board.The notice
was disseminated via e-mail to Police Command Staff,Police Chief,Fire Chief,and Fire
Department,with instructions to post and distribute the notice among their employees.Group 1
employees had from Monday,June 1,2026 to Friday,June 12,2026 to declare their interest in
qualifying to run as the Group 1 employee representative on the Personnel Board.
The polls opened from July 13 to July 16,2026,from 8:30 a.m.until 5:00 p.m.The Office of the City
Clerk proceeded to open the ballot box on Friday,July 17,2026 at 2:10 p.m.and counted the
ballots.There was a total of 70 votes cast:43 votes were cast for Alejandro Bello,21 votes were
cast for Ernesto Santana Lopez,and 6 "Provisional Ballots"were rejected due to voter's ineligibility.
Based on the above results,Alejandro Bello from the Police Department is therefore elected as
Representative of Group 1 for the Personnel Board for the three-year term ending on July 31,2029.

COUNTY OF MIAMI-DADE:
We,the undersigned Clerk and Witness,do hereby certify that:

ballots,and found the results of said Election to be as follows:
There was a total of 70 votes cast,as follows:
43 Votes were cast for Alejandro Bello
21 Votes were cast for Ernesto Santana Lopez
6 "Provisional Ballots"were rejected due to voter's ineligibility
Mr.Alejandro Bello from the Police Department is therefore elected as Representative of Group 1
for the Personnel Board for the three-year term ending on July 31,2029.
