DATE
On Thursday. February 2. 1995, the Lincoln Road Partnership, Inc. Board of
Directors met with the design team and reviewed a presentation of the design
schematics, including budget, options for the treatment of cross streets, and
an aggressive schedule to allow the major work to be completed before
Christmas 1995. At a public meeting later that day, attended by more than
200 members of the community. there was broad acceptance of the
presentation, with the expression of comments and concems regarding details.
The design team accepted most of these as recommendations and is now
prepared to to more to design development. Therefore it is appropriate for the
City Commission to review the presentation and authorize this phase to begin.
Attached is a comprehensive representation of that presentation for your
review.

must be supported. The design team headed by Ben Wood. of Thompson and
Wood. Inc., is ready to proceed to design development for the above grade work.
The infrastructure and cross street work is nearly ready to go to bid. This will
prevent further construction disruption in the near and mid-future. It is of
absolute importance that this process proceed, in order to adhere to the
proposed schedule. so that the Lincoln Road improvements can be
substantially completed before the holiday shopping season in December.
This is another step in the exciting process that the City of Miami Beach and
the Lincoln Road community are taking together to restore and enhance the
heritage and secure an even better future for this "World Class Center of
Commerce and Culture of Miami Beach".
