The Florida Commission on Ethics and the Miami-Dade Commission
on Ethics and Public Trust, in cooperation with the John Scott Dailey
Florida Institute of Government and the Florida League of Cities, are
pleased to sponsor the 2004 Florida Ethics Law Conference scheduled
September 8 - 1 0, 2004 at the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza
Hotel. I would like to personally invite each of you to attend this
conference which promises to be a very informative and educational
event.

FLORIDA ETHICS LAW" CONFERENCE
The Florida Commission on Ethics and the Miami-Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust,
in cooperation with the john Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government and the Florida League of
Cities, are pleased to sponsor the 2004 Florida Ethics Law Conference to be held at the Renaissance
Tampa International Plaza Hotel. The conference is designed specifically for state and local government
elected and appointed officials, government attorneys, members of quasi-judicial and advisory boards,
amI other interested government employees. It will offer participants the opportunity to explore and
discuss the State's updated ethics laws in depth and give attendees a better understanding of commis-
sion procedures and practices. Staff members from the Florida Commission on Ethics and the Miami-
Dade County Commission on Ethics and Public Trust will lead the various sessions. Participants in the
Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education Requirements Program (CLER) will receive 9.5 General hours
and 9.5 Ethics hours.
CONFERENCE REGISTRATION INFORMATION
A conference registration fee of S 139 covers all materials, two continental breakfasts. one lunch and a
\Vednesday evening reception. To register for the conference, please make check or purchase order
payable to "The Florida Institute of Government" and mail this form, along
with payment, to The john Scott Dailey Florida Institute of Government, 325
john Knox Road, Building 300, Tallahassee, Florida 32303. The fax number is

August 18. 2004. A confirmation letter will be mailed to you upon receipt
of registration. If you are physically challenged and require special services,
or if you have special dietary needs, please attach a written description of
those needs to your registration. Requests for refunds must be submitted in
writing and received no later than August 25,2004. Non-attendance does
not constitute a withdrawal or refund request. For further information,
