RESOLUTION NO. 57-88
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI BEACH
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AUTHORIZING
ACCEPTANCE OF AN OFFER OF SALE FROM FIRST
NATIONWIDE BANK IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000
FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LOT 1, LESS THE
NORTH 20 FEET, BLOCK 50, OCEAN BEACH
ADDITION NO.3, PLAT BOOK 7, PAGE 48,
PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA
(ALSO KNOWN AS 310 WASHINGTON AVENUE) FOR
THE PURPOSE OF REMOVING A BLIGHTED
BUILDING FROM THE REDEVELOPMENT AREA AND
BEGINNING ASSEMBLAGE OF A DEVELOPMENT
SITE AND APPROPRIATING $10,000 FOR THE
PROPOSED ACQUISITION FROM THE EXISTING
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY FUNDS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY:
WHEREAS, the staff of the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency
("Agency") was informed by the owners of 310 Washington Avenue
that the property known as 310 Washington Avenue may be for sale;
and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of this property would allow the
Agency to remove a blighted structure from within the
Redevelopment Area, and permit the Agency to begin assemblage of
a development site; and
WHEREAS, the Agency Administration has negotiated the
purchase price of $10,000 for the described property and the
Executive Director recommends the purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Land Use and Development Committee of the
Agency at the last meeting, by motion, recommended that the
Agency acquire the property offered for sale by the First
Nationwide Bank.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MIAMI BEACH
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY that;
L The recommendation of the Executive Director of the
Redevelopment Agency as to the purchase price of $10,000 for Lot
1, less the north 20 feet, Block 50, OCEAN BEACH ADDITION NO.3,
Plat Book 7, Page 48, Public Records of Dade County, Florida
(also known as 310 Washington Avenue) is hereby accepted and
approved.
2. Funds in the amount of $10,000 we hereby appropriated
from existing Redevelopment Agency Funds.
